20 Rounds of 90gr Xtreme Defender 9mm Ammo by Underwood For Sale
This 9mm cartridge from Illinois’s Underwood is excellent for self-defense uses. Without expanding, the 90 grain monolithic bullet regularly penetrates soft tissue up to 18″ deep and leaves a larger wound cavity than a conventional jacketed hollow point.
The Xtreme Defender bullet functions according to a completely new theory. The flutes that extend outward from its tip give it the appearance of a drill bit, yet they have a significant function. Any soft tissue that comes into contact with the symmetrical grooves is aggressively scooped up, compressed, and forcibly directed outward to create a massive permanent wound cavity.
Pure copper was used to create the Xtreme Defender. Due to its great resilience and the sharp edges that make up its nose profile, it is quite effective in piercing defenses. Also lacking a nasal cavity, the Xtreme Defender cannot accumulate debris that may have stopped a JHP bullet from expanding.
The nickel-plated casing that this round’s lead-free bullet is housed in. Smooth nickel improves performance by preventing corrosion in addition to assisting a semi-automatic pistol or carbine to avoid jamming as it cycles. The propellant made by Underwood is designed to burn more quietly. This effectively shields the shooter’s night vision, preventing them from being blinded by their first shot in the dark.
