This cartridge uses a 40 grain LFN bullet that was carefully designed by Eley. Due to the highest possible rotational stability being promoted by its nose contour and the extremely uniform weight distribution, the G1 ballistic coefficient is in the range of 0.189. (An LFN isn’t designed to expand, so this bullet isn’t the best choice for taking larger varmints, but pity the squirrel that gets hit by one of these bullets head-on.)

The brass case that Eley is carrying is unusual. Its mouth is precisely carved to produce the ideal depth of seating and homogeneous resistance around the bullet during ignition, both of which increase accuracy.
